Welcoming Virgo Season: A Journey of Self-Care and Spiritual Renewal

As the sun shifts into Virgo, we’re greeted by the energy of the analyst, the perfectionist, and the one who tirelessly serves. Virgo’s influence, especially in the 6th house, touches on themes of health, routines, and service—areas that are deeply resonant for me this season. With my chart being heavily influenced by air, my mind rarely rests, but Virgo season offers a grounding energy that encourages me to pause and recalibrate.

The past few years have been a whirlwind. Navigating the complexities of divorce while grieving the loss of a loved one left me feeling emotionally and physically drained. I often found myself at capacity, unable to prioritize my well-being. But now, as I step into a new chapter, not just as a woman post-divorce but as one embracing the wisdom of mid-life, I’m making a conscious effort to honor my body and the changes it’s going through.

This renewed focus on self-care extends beyond just me—it’s shaping how I approach my roles as a mother, a homeowner, and a business owner. My new routine is designed to support all these aspects of my life, but it begins with taking care of myself first. One of the biggest lessons I’m learning is the importance of trust—trust in myself, my intuition, and the universe. I’m learning to listen to my body, to get quiet enough to hear what it needs.

One small yet profound change I’ve made is starting my mornings outside, barefoot in the grass as the sun rises. Thanks to the encouragement of a dear friend, I’ve shifted my journaling practice outdoors. My daughter joins me, and together we connect with the Earth’s energy, pull oracle cards, and set our intentions for the day. This ritual has not only deepened our bond but has also grounded us both in a shared practice of mindfulness and gratitude.

Our day ends similarly, with an evening walk to gather feathers and reflect on our day. We read before bed and close with a gratitude practice. These routines have brought a new sense of peace and connection to our lives, and I’ve watched my daughter embrace these practices with enthusiasm.

In addition to these daily rituals, I’ve been making more mindful choices in my diet—incorporating more juices, fruits, and vegetables, which I believe bring high vibrational energy into my body. I take solo walks after my daughter heads to school, practice yoga on my patio, and continue journaling about the insights that arise. Each action, no matter how small, is done with intention, turning my day-to-day life into a spiritual practice.

The results have been transformative. Though I’ve only been following this routine for a short time, I already feel more connected to the universe, more trusting of the path I’m on, and more at peace with the unfolding of my life. Progress, I remind myself, is progress, no matter how small.

As I reflect on a book I recently listened to, I’m reminded that all the answers we seek are within us—we just need to ask the right questions. So, I invite you to take a moment during this Virgo season to think about what small changes you can make in your life. Start with one thing, and remember, it’s okay to begin small. Each step you take is a step toward greater self-care, connection, and alignment with the universe.
